SECRET MAKER AUCTION
AND EXHIBITION 2024
For 2024 we are doing things a little differently, as our popular SECRET AUCTION goes 3D, recognizing the talents of creative local Makers.
Our Secret Maker Auction comprises 28 unique pieces - in ceramic, wood, stone, clay, metal and natural fibres. Once again the works will be available to view at Venue #1, The Victoria Institute, Tarrant Street, Arundel, from Sat 17 to Mon 26 August 12-5pm daily and online here. The identity of the Maker is only revealed with the winning bid. Please support us by coming along to view this collection of fine Makers' pieces* and perhaps even place a silent bid or two!
*Three pieces have been selected to receive The Ann Sutton Award.
Bidding starts online on Fri 16th August at 12pm and
closes at 9pm on Mon 26th August.
TO MAKE YOUR BID:
Option 1: Use the bidding card provided when you visit the exhibition at the Victoria Institute, Venue #1 on Tarrant Street from Saturday 17th August, 12-5 daily.
Option 2: Browse the online Maker’s Gallery above. You can also check the description, size, and if there is a maker’s ‘guide price’ on our online List of Works.
Then click on the piece you select to generate your bid email. Simply add your bid amount in the subject line.
We will acknowledge all bids and contact you should we receive a higher bid for the piece, giving you the opportunity to place a higher bid should you wish to.
If you hold a winning bid we will contact you by the end of August. We can arrange shipping if necessary. Proceeds from the auction will be divided between the Maker and Arundel Gallery Trail, to help fund future initiatives. Please bid generously and good luck!
